Goodbye Beetle

Say goodbye to America’s favorite car. That’s right; the Volkswagen Beetle is no longer going to be manufactured. The 2019 Volkswagen Final Edition will be in fact, the final edition. The Beetle made for one of the most iconic cars to be sold in the U.S. within the last 70 years. With the bug being one of the first European cars to be introduced to the states in 1949 we are all sad to see it go. For many years, the VW Bug was a sentimental piece of history that we will never forget. As recognizable as the Nike swoosh or the golden arches of McDonald’s, the bug can be found around the world as a symbol of the great era of the 60’s. The final edition of the Beetle will be a nostalgic time for many with VW trying to incorporate the amazing features of all generations. The bug is more than just a car; it is a piece of history. However, when one says goodbye, another says hello. Volkswagen has introduced a brand new Volkswagen Bus! So for anyone who is loves an “oldie but a goody” this is for you:

Volkswagen is attempting to rebrand their vehicles with technology. Keeping up with the fast paced generation, VW is trying to incorporate electric cars to their models. This will put Volkswagen in an innovative position to possibly bring back the Beetle one day as an electric car. With a new purpose in mind, Volkswagen has pledged to play their part in bettering themselves, the community, and the environment. Scott Keogh, CEO of Volkswagen Group of America said “we will highlight the special responsibility we have as one of the world’s largest automakers…not just through our vehicles, but by how we go about our business. It’s time to make VW stand for something again”. In fact, Volkswagen has introduced four futuristic models including the I.D BUZZ which are made to be more simplistic and technological than ever before. Stay tuned to the official Volkswagen website at and the Larson Volkswagen of Tacoma website at: for further updates on these electric concepts!
