Volkswagen California Camper

The new Volkswagen Transporter has been unveiled and has gone on sale in Europe so it’s only a matter of time before they start rolling out! This new California camper will be showcased at this year’s Caravan Salon show in Düsseldorf at the end of the current month of August. A few minor design changes include reshaped headlights with LED DLR bulbs, and modified bumpers! A huge change and feature added is the overhead display control center which allows for control of the sunrise function, the living quarters lighting and the pop-up roof. This new model also boasts a new lengthways and crossways angle monitor that will help you reach your desired angle levels! Included as well is a digital instrument section that will keep track of the current drive and integrates the audio system. The California Camper has 2 different options for infotainment systems and navigation choices. You can also upgrade to get the eSIM system that allow for online connectivity and other services.

The new Van actively will switch from hydraulic steering to electro-mechanical for easier and more direct steering capabilities, and since safety comes standard in most models these days, the camper doesn’t let us down in that aspect. It comes with Lane Assist, Park Assist; a side protect function, Trailer Assist, and Cross Wind Assist. Powering this model is also going to be a 2.0L diesel engine and will come standard with front-wheel drive and an option for all-wheel drive is available. As of right now, we have no info on a possible release in the US, but here is hoping we get to take this beast for a spin soon!
